#87 S4 EP 7: Empowering Kingdom Trailblazers: A Call to Women to Anchor Society in Christian Virtues and Prayer

Hello, hello, hello and welcome back one more time. It's diamonds in the rough. We hope all is well. We hope you have it. She's going to be, I would say, co-hosting with me today. I'm going to be the first to come to the stage. I have her back one more time. You want to say hello to?

everybody before we get into prayer yes, good morning everyone.

Thank you for having me back, Katherine. All right, we are glad to have you. Let's go ahead and pray before we get into it.

You want to pray, shannon? I'll let you go. Good morning, heavenly Father. I dare not start my day without you. I'm going to start my day with you. Thank you for the opportunity to be used in this season. We don't take that lightly. I ask that you will just open the eyes and ears of the audience on this morning, lord, that they will be receptive to what it is that we are saying, god, and that they will be willing to take a stand for righteousness and take a stand for your original plan. God, I'm excited to see what you do through, in and through us in this episode. God, I'm excited to see what you do in the lives of your people. God, obviously God has черé given us so much energy.

خнако. He gives us this word. Dad, let's pray together while yougt make this God by the word. God, god, man, congratulations. Thank you for the opportunity to see our presence. What is God saying through you? What's the word?

Well, it's interesting because you know that I said when I was on your show several months ago. I said this will be the last time that you hear me have this conversation, because the Lord had shown me a new assignment prior to I'm gonna say, probably a month or so prior to our recording, and anyone who listened to that episode or anything else I've ever done you heard me talk about the importance of letting go of expired seasons, and what do I mean by that? What I mean by that is that sometimes the Lord is gonna ask you to shift away from something that was even a good thing. And the Lord spoke very clearly to me, catherine, and he said you know you've been dealing with people over this last several seasons of your ministry and now it's time for you to deal with principalities.

Wow.

All right. All right, you've gotten the people out of what they were going through and out of what it was that was in them, from what it was that they were going through. My boyfriend preached a message this weekend and he said many of you, the reason why you need to fast and pray, the reason why you need to consecrate, to get your flesh under control, is to get you out of what God got you out of. Because so many of us, god got us out of a toxic relationship, but that stuff is still innocent. We're treating other people like they were the person who was toxic towards us.

Many of us, god has gotten us out of so many things, but it was like the Israel, like I can get you out of Egypt, but now there's things I've got to do to get Egypt out of you. And so the Lord said you've been working with people to get them out of Egypt. Now I need you to get the Egypt out of them. Now I need you to deal with the principalities. And so what does all that mean? Yeah, there is so much, catherine, that a blind person you would have to be blind, deaf and under a rock to not see the rising trend of opposition to God in this world.

We live in a day now where.

If it's God, we don't want him. If it's God, it's not good. You know anything that we want to do as far away from God as possible? We even had a well-known preacher that when he talked to his team for the production of their Easter service, he said I want to get as close to the line of sin as we can. What? Wow? So it's not even just the world anymore, it's not even just unbelievers anymore that are trying to block everything that it is that God is doing. We even have ministers that want to get as close to the line as sin as possible. We've got people that want to walk it out on New Year's Eve service in Atlanta.

You know we have how do you go on and on and on? Lgbtq and gender confusion is that an all-time high? We have politicians that are putting policies in place that are in direct contradiction to the word of God. We have attacks on Israel I mean, I literally could go on and on and on and the Lord said I need you to raise up a army of women in this hour that is going to uphold our Christian values, and so my new assignment in this season, catherine, is to not only show women leaders how they can do their part in upholding Christian values but, more importantly, as women leaders, how can we mobilize other women to blaze that same trail? Because if there's just a small handful of us that are trying to do this, it's going to be a lot less likely that we're going to be able to have the impact and influence that we desire to have, and so that's my new mission. I'm sitting here looking at a brand new banner in my studio, and it says women united to uphold Christian values. That's what we're here for today.

Oh, ok, all right. Well, I definitely would say See, I see, I agree, yeah, absolutely, because it's hard to, as you say, so to speak, you take them out of the hood, but take the hood out of them. You know, yeah, it's powerful, it's a powerful thing and it really is a mission. And so how has God prepared you to do that? I see you got, he's giving you the framework, but how do we, yeah, how do we put it in planet? Yeah, implement?

Well, let me let me first just say because I always like to be fully transparent, especially with the diamonds I didn't want to do this. How many times does the Lord give us an assignment that that's not what we want? That's not what we want for our lives. I have always, even when I was in the marketplace, I always was very intentional about I didn't want to be just for women, or just for men, or just for black people, or just for white people or just for. I always wanted to be for women and not not so broad spread that it like nobody knows what who you stand for, but I always tried to be gender neutral. I think it may be the only time that it's okay to say gender neutral with this society and so. But you know, my best friend asked me one time. She said I mean, why does the Lord always give you such clarity? Why is the Lord always giving? Why? Why is it that everywhere you go you get a prophetic word?

I said because he knows I'll do something with it. So I threw my, I threw my toddler tantrum for four or five minutes. It was like Lord, you know, I don't want to work with women, and not because women have hurt me or I don't get along with women. I've never wanted to just focus just on women. So after I threw my toddler tantrum and I said, okay, lord, you know I don't want to do it, but at the same time you know I will do it. You know, send me, I'll go. I should have it Like on my forehead or something, because he knows it'll do it.

Me, and so I just I spent a lot of time in prayer. I spent a lot of time in fasting. I knew many of the things that the Lord had put in me in previous seasons need to be carried over into this season, but I had to ask him. Lord, I need a, I need a fresh Wind of revelation. I need a fresh wind of wisdom in this season. Show me what it is that women need to know.

Show me what it is that these women need to hear, and then, After I put together the curriculum, if you will, or the list, if you will, I wouldn't saw it wise spiritual counsel. And I said, hey, you're, you work with leaders and you know this bible better than I do. What am I missing? Are there anything in there? I said, now that you're clear on what my Assignment is, when you look at this list of what I think I should cover, is there anything you think I'm? I see that is missing, because just because the Lord called me to it doesn't mean I don't need help from the outside. So that's how I, that's how I know that's right. I asked for wisdom. I was. I discerned what needed because even though the assignment was old, that doesn't mean that everything that was part of the old assignment None of it needed to be carried into the new Alignment. So I had to discern what comes into the new season and what really is put to death. And here we are.

So yeah, All right. So what's step one? You got steps. You say you got a curriculum or you have a website.

Well, when I said curriculum, I was really just thinking in my mind like what are the topics that they need, what are the things that they need to be aware of? What is it that they need to be taught? Do I have a framework? Absolutely, but I think it's important for I want to go a step further before I get into how do we do this?

Because, since this conversation is all about women, now, fellas, if you're listening, it's not that you can't do some of these things, but I encourage you to share this with the women who you know in your life or leaders. But I think it's important for us to understand that there is a specific role for women in God's plan, and I'm not talking about because there's some people that don't think that we should be able to preach, or if we talk in church, we got to stand on the floor and not in the pulpit but what is women's role in God's plan? I believe that God is really desiring women in this hour to arise and change history, but how and in what way? I think that women are uniquely equipped in this season to recover and restore what is out of place. We talked about all these things out of place and I think that a woman's role is to recover and restore what is out of place. And so, if you want to ask me like, I'm calling these women kingdom trailblazers I didn't come up with that term. I'm sure there's other people out there that have used that before, but I'm calling these women kingdom trailblazers. Those are the women that I'm being called to lead in this season, and so let's talk about what it's not about.

This is not about creating something new. This is about looking at where has the Lord already given you influence and authority. For some of us, it's going to be in our church. For some of us, it's going to be in our homes. For some of us, it's going to be in our business, and then for some of us, yes, indeed, we do have platforms. So this is about number one how do you become a kingdom trailblazer that wants to, you know, uphold Christian values? It's about occupying your sphere. So where do you have influence and authority and how can you educate and mobilize there? Whatever it is that you're already teaching, wherever it is that you're already selling, wherever it is that you already have an audience, even if it's an audience of two people, how do you educate them and mobilize them to understand what the opposition is against God, to understand what's at risk right now and how they, in their own lives, need to work to uphold these values that are attempting to be eroded, and how do they mobilize other people?

So it's not about you know, if you get in my camp, I'm not going to teach you how to create a new business. I'm not going to teach you how to create a platform. I am going to teach you how to recognize where God the territory that God has already given you, and show you how to steward that in which he's already put in your hands. To scream this message at the rooftop in combination with what it is that you're already doing. How can you weave this in and out of what it is that you're already doing?

Because we are in a desperate time right now, and for those of you that think we're not, for those of you that think we're not, I question where your head has been, and I pray that the Lord will open your eyes of understanding, because I had a woman I want to tell a quick story about. I sent an email out to everyone who was in my email address and I basically was like hey, this is what the Lord is charging women to do in this hour. I want you to join me in this. I have a quiz that we're going to talk about at the end. I want you to take this quiz so that you can begin to learn what type of trailblazer are you and what are the specific and unique steps that I can reveal, based on the trailblazer type that you are. This woman emails me back and she says Christianity is thriving. The only problem with Christianity right now is that there's bad people in leadership, but Christianity is thriving better than it's ever been.

We're free to worship, unlike they are in other countries, and I emailed her back and I said although that may be true, and then I went through the whole litany of things that I said to you at the beginning LGBTQ and gender confusion. Is that an?

all time hot.

I said we have drag queens that are at parades, that are holding signs that says we're coming after your children. You know what she emailed me back Catherine, no one is coming after your children. No one what? But yet you're talking to me about your thriving community that you have there in New York City and you don't think anyone is coming after our children. You don't think the fact that they're putting things in a book for middle schoolers that tells them this is how you eat, pussy, that they're not coming after our children?

Oh, Roland.

This is not a conclusion that I have drawn. The drag queen had a sign and the words on the sign said we're coming after your children, and so Christians, if you don't think that this is what times, right now, that call for measures for us to stand up and get us back to the original plans and purposes of God. I don't know where you have been and I pray that your eyes are of understanding our enlightenment.

Wow.

It's fine to recover and restore what is out of place, it really is.

My yeah, it is, and that kind of everything you're saying is just refined. It refines. It really is a refining type of thing, because a lot of times we think it but we don't say it. Or we think we can recognize something's wrong, something's out of place, but we can't actually pinpoint it. And that's beautiful and everything you're saying is absolutely true, because that just speaks directly to Proverbs 31. Then Proverbs 31 is just in a different way of saying it. It really is a virtuous woman and really what we're supposed to be doing is Kingdom, women and Kingdom. What did you call it? Kingdom trail broke.

Kingdom trail blazers. But the question that you asked me and I don't think I'm full on it.

Go on, honey. Go on. When you asked me about like what, are the tips?

How do we do this? Number one you occupy your space, you figure out, ask God to show you, or don't even ask God to show you. Use some common sense. Everything ain't deep, Some things. Just use wisdom and common sense.

I want you to ask yourself where do you already have influence and authority? Is it in your home? Is it in your church? Is it in an organization that you're part of? Do you have a business? Do you have a platform, like Catherine and I do?

I want you to ask yourself what is something that I can do in the next seven days? Don't give yourself a lot of time, because you won't do it. What is something that I can do in the next seven days to begin to demonstrate to people? Number one, that the foundational Christian values that we hold so dear are indeed attempting to be eroded. What is one thing that I can do over the next seven days to show people what they can do in their own space to uphold these values and how they can try to motivate other people to come along by them? That's number one.

But number two and this is so, so important we have to recognize that we can't change what we don't first love. So what do I mean by that? If we're not careful and we don't learn how to balance truth with love, we will cause more division, and that's definitely not what this is about. So when I say I'm raising up an army of women, I'm going to be radical, yes, but I'm not going to be militant and I'm not going to be divisive. And so sometimes we can, because we're so charged up and because we do want to take a stand for God, because it means so much to us and our personal lives, that if we're not careful, we can cause even more division than what is there now. So we have to learn how to balance the truth with love. We have to learn how to balance the truth with grace.

Number one if we just go all truth, just charging against the wall with nothing but truth, they're not going to listen to us. Their ears are going to be closed before we're even able to start. Their defenses are going to go up before we're able even able to start. Now you can't give them so much love that they feel even more justified in what it is that they're doing. So you have to. There's an art and a science. We have to learn how to dance between truth and love. So, number one, occupy your space and ask yourself what can I begin to do? What's one thing that I can do in the next seven days in the space that I already have been entrusted with? And then, number two how do I lead this charge? By balancing truth and love. Those are the best tips that I have for how you can begin to walk out what it is that I'm calling being a kingdom trailblazer in this hour.

You just stop me every time. I mean, I say that because I'm just to be a little bit transparent. My daughter, she's 18, about to turn 19. And she practices a lifestyle of homosexuality, and I and that's, that's that for me is how I'm still. I'm asking God how do I love her and continue to remain truthful to what I know is right and still and not try to pacify as if it's okay, because you know when the reality is truth, is truth and it doesn't change.

When you get a shoot, when you get a chance capital. I want you to go listen to the podcast episode of mine that I released last Monday. I interviewed a woman on there. Her name is Melinda Patrick, and Melinda is a coach to christian parents of children who struggle with lgbtq identity and in and and her whole platform is about balancing truth with love because, much like yourself, she was the sunday school teacher, she was the missionary, she was all the things, and then her daughter had a same-sex attraction, and so her entire platform is committed to showing parents how they walk that line of truth and love. So I encourage you to Do two things. Number one, I encourage you to go back and anyone who is Dealing with this because we all know someone who is living this lifestyle. I encourage you to go back and listen to the episode that I did with Melinda Patrick. It's very clear, but in the title, what what it's about.

And then, number two, I want you to get a book by my friend, lori wildenberger, and it's called messy journey, and messy journey is about how you bring your prodigal child home. Now, her prodigal child, specifically, was dealing with same-sex Attraction, but what I love about this book is that lori, as the mother and as the expert, if you will, does not just write the book from her perspective. Her daughter Also writes from her perspective, and so they kind of in tandem. The mother shares, like, you know, here's what I was experiencing as the parent and what I think you should do. And the child is saying here's what I was experiencing as the parent and this is what you should have done and what I wish you would have done. And so those are two resources.

If you have a prodigal child, you have a child that is struggling with gender confusion. If you have a child that is struggling with um lgbtq identity, go back and listen to my podcast episode. The podcast is called a god shift. You can find it very easily and go get lori wildenberger's book messy journey. It will, it will, it will. It will help you Learn how to walk this with the boldness that you need to stand for the truth. You know Some I heard tdj say he was, he was teaching to men, but he was talking about sometimes we don't know how to balance being lying and lamb, and so you know, some situations call for us to be more lying and some call for us to be more lamb, and I think a combination of those two resources will really help help us learn how. When do we need to be lying and when do we need to be lamb? Because you know what are the old folks used to say we catch more bees with honey than we do vinegar.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I thank you for that resort. I'm yeah, I'm sure every uh diamonds, y'all heard it. I mean, like you said, I'm sure we're all struggling with something. Um, and that's always that's been my biggest prayer is that my children will come back to that first love, because my son, he, he's not dealing with that, but he's a prodigal. He's then went away and you know, I just Prayer has been my number one and and that's all I feel I've been able to do Of us far, and I believe that if you could do nothing else, we can pray, you know, and thank god that he has sent a a be a answer to somebody's question here today. And so is there anything else you wanna share, shayne? You?

know one of the things, one of the reasons and you touched on this just now one of the reasons that I'm so passionate about this work and the reason why I think so many people really need to pay attention to what is going on around and they need to understand why much of this is going on. So, in Genesis 1.26, I believe that this is God's original purpose. I believe that this is God's original plan. The Lord says we'll make man in my image and my likeness so that they can have dominion. The enemy is after that. The enemy is upset with the fact that we have identity and authority that he no longer has, and he's after that. Which is why, when it comes to the identity, that's why Think about what the enemy said to Eve in the garden.

But did God really say so for our children that are suffering with gender confusion? Did God really say you were a girl? Yeah, you have breasts, you have a vagina, but did God really say you were a boy? Did God really say that you're a woman, that you have to marry a man, or should you just be able to love who you wanna love? So the enemy is after our identity and the enemy is after our authority. You know we talked about authority a lot on the last episode I did with you and why is it that so many of us feel like we have to go to somebody else to pray for us? You know what I mean. Like dominion is mentioned in the Bible 44 times. I say it all the time. The reason why Jesus was able to die was because the same level of authority that God gave him he gave us because we're heirs with Christ.

Jesus is my brother.

I'm not Jesus but Jesus is my brother and the same authority that God gave him I've been given, and the enemy does not want you to know who you are and he does not want you to know the authority that you have. He's after that and so that's why you know he knows these things are numbered and so he's like he's very strategic. If I'm gonna accomplish anything in life, I try to be strategic. The enemy is very strategic and he says if I'm gonna have any chance of taking over in this hour, I have to destroy what it is that I have. The Lord said you're like me. That means you have authority. He says you're in my image.

That means that's your identity.

So if I can taint your image of yourself, if I can make you doubt your image of yourself, if I can make you doubt that you have any level of authority and influence, I've won. If he can find a crack in that armor in your mind, he's won. And so if you're listening to this, that's how you realize how you occupy your space. You make sure that people understand Genesis 1.26. You make sure that people understand that they have identity and they have authority and that the enemy is after that. This is not just about live and let them live, because at one time I could say well, you know what, that's not necessarily how I wanna live and that's not the way that God wants you to live. But if that's what you wanna do, you do it.

But, now we've gone from live. We've gone from live and let them live to limit live and let them rule. That's not okay.

Right, mm-hmm, it's no longer what you do inside of your house saying none of my business. Now you're after my children, now you're after my family, now you're after my niece and my nephews. Not on my watch, not on my dime. I am going to make sure that I scream at the rooftops no, this is your identity, this is your authority and not and it's not just wrong because the Bible says it's wrong, but I want you to get pissed off with the fact that the enemy, the enemy, is Manipulating you. Mm-hmm, yeah, so passionate work.

So here's what I will leave you.

You've given it to us, god, and I pray that we would be obedient, do what it is that you are calling us to do in this hour and in this season. Father, I pray for every woman, every man, every boy, every girl, god, that you would Just have your way.

We pray for those who have just decided they won't believe you. We pray that they will come to the knowledge of you, god, and they will make you Lord and savior of their hearts. God, we love you, we thank you. We pray that you will bless Miss Shayna, continue to bless her ministry and all that she's doing for you and the king. God, we thank you so much and we love you. We pray this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We do pray, amen, amen, amen, and say thank you so much for being here.
