#81 S4 EP 1: The Transformative Power of Impact and the Lessons of a Grieving Hearts That Make a Difference in the World

#81 S4 EP 1: The Transformative Power of Impact and the Lessons of a Grieving Hearts That Make a Difference in the World

When the echoes of revival from our third season still linger in our hearts, Catherine and I, Michael, come together once again, brimming with anticipation for the journey that season four lays before us. This time, our conversations are a beacon, intent on casting a glow of inspiration and enlightenment that could very well redefine the landscapes of your heart and mind. With the first chapter, we unpack the magnitude of 'impact'—a force so potent, it shapes destinies. We delve into how our own narratives and the stories that move us have the power to resonate deeply, creating ripples that can transform lives. It's about learning and teaching, giving and receiving—this episode is a prayerful step into a season that aims to etch significant imprints on the soul.

Join us as we explore the cathartic journey of a grieving father in a garden devoid of life, a poignant tale from a touching film narrative that serves as our backdrop for discussing the healing that can bloom from our sorrows. Our tears, we realize, are not shed in vain—they water the seeds of our growth and the tender shoots of our healing. Forgiveness, too, plays a starring role in the art of renewal, and together, we ponder its liberating power. As we set the stage for an ambitious slate of 70 episodes, each guest primed to enrich our discourse, our chapter opens a space to traverse stories of resilience and hope that reverberate with the authenticity of human experience. Join us, as we journey through the lessons borne from tears and the freedom found in forgiveness, all while welcoming the wisdom of a diverse roster of guests.

Speaker 1:

Hello.

Speaker 2:

Hello, hello.

Speaker 1:

Season four, season four yes, y'all we are excited, excited, excited about what God is doing here in this podcast. Honey, what about you? Are you excited?

Speaker 2:

I'm very excited. You know it's good to be back because you know I was gone for about a half of season three. But you know work calls, you know you got to do, you got to provide. But I'm so happy that I'm able to be back in the studio one more time.

Speaker 1:

Amen, we are so glad and so excited. Amen About this season. Yeah, last season was awesome, talked a lot about revival. It was God gave us the whole theme of revival, amen. And you know, he just showed us in so many different, so many different ways how you know circumstances and things happen in our life, but he has purpose for it, right? A lot of inspiring stories we heard of people overcoming the things that was coming at them. Amen, the sole reason why here we are helping. We are doing what we can to help you see the diamond in yourself and in the situation that you might be going through. What's your thoughts?

Speaker 2:

You know and, as I think back on, you know the theme for last season as well as this one is impacting. You know the world, you know you got to think that somebody might been through something, or going through stuff that you've already been through, yeah, or vice versa. Or you getting ready to go into a season or, as they call it, a storm. You know the three parts of the storm going in, in the middle or coming out. You might be in one of those three categories that somebody else's story or testimony can help you with. And just to go through things in life. And you know, normally you go through life and you're like, oh, I'm the only one. But when you really get in depth and dig into things that might have took place in somebody else's lives, it puts a mirror in front of you, so to speak. You know you can see what they're going through in yourself.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, yeah, yeah, Um. So before we get into what's going to be happening this season, we want to go ahead and pray, um, before we get into it. Oh, by the way, if you don't know who we are by now, I'm Catherine and I'm Michael. Yeah and um, this is actually our 81st episode. We've been doing this for a little while and we're still learning, still learning every day, um, how God would have us to do it. But 81 episodes in, so that means you got 80 episodes. If this is your first time, uh, checking us out, uh, this is your first time, go all the way back to the beginning so you can find the source and how we begin, and all of that Before we get into the topic of conversation. We're going to go ahead and pray.

Speaker 2:

Let's pray. They have any father, our Lord, our savior Jesus Christ. We come to you once again and say thank you. We thank for your grace and your mercy. We think for your love and countenance and your mercy. We beg your forgiveness for anything we might have said, done or thought that was not pleasing your sight. It's your grace to forgive us and cast us back into the picture of where it came from. We put the enemy on notice and counseling. any assignment that he might try to put out there will be, sent back into the picture of where it came from, for his demeanor and his demise has no authority in your people, but your word said that we have authority over the enemy, that anything that we touch or drink will not cause us no harm. We pray in the name of Jesus, a supernatural healing power right now on your people, on your diamonds, on your world. There'll be going back to the way that you have designed it for to be. We pray in the name of Jesus, your Holy Spirit. We just have its weight in Jesus night mighty name. We say thank you and we say amen, amen, amen, hallelujah.

Speaker 1:

So we mentioned the revival. So this season we are going to be making an impact, amen. And so everything that we are going to be talking about this entire season is going to be geared toward making a difference, because when we look at that word, impact is like something else. It's something that you can see. You know what I mean. Now, after you know, if you see a collision, they talk about the impact of the collision, of the collision. You know what I mean. It makes it it, it, it it it it it it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it, it. What am I trying to get my words right y'all, but when you see a collision, something is happening in the roadway where two cars have a hit one another, they call it an impact and they classify the impact, I'm sure, by stages, based on the outcome yeah. Based on the outcome, of the impact. And so, when we are, as we go into the season, we're going to be not only teaching and sharing, but we're going to be looking at the who, the what, the why, the where, the when of an impact. And so, when we are walking in this life, we want to make an impact, we want to make an imprint in this world. Got any thoughts?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's something you say you know in the beginning about how long we've been. You know this our 81st episode and we're still learning. Even that learning process is an impact, because how can you teach if you're not willing to learn, and that's an impact on life in general of you. Got it balances that so far.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen. We can definitely make an impact if you want to. You know what I mean. We can make that impact in a positive way or negative way. Amen, and as a child of God, even if it were negative, god can bring the good out of it. Yeah, yeah, romans 8 in 28. If you're not familiar with the reference Uh, it's for.

Speaker 2:

All things works according to those who love God.

Speaker 1:

Paraphrasing Well, I'm going to actually go to the description.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah no.

Speaker 1:

It's Romans 8 in 28. He says all things, all things, not some things. He says all things, some, almost there. Amen. I want to make sure that we're giving it to you the way the word gives it to us Hallelujah. Romans 8 and 28 says. It says and we know, Okay. And the first couple of words is a heart posture, amen. We know All this talking is is. We know we didn't see the proof in the pudding. We know he says that all things work together for good, amen. So the negative ain't necessarily a negative thing. It might have hurt, it might have looked terrible, it might have been the worst thing that you could say ever happened to you. But Paul, through the word, through the spirit of God, says all things are working together for good to them. Okay, to them that love God. Do you love God? Amen. First question Do I love God? As if I love God, then I got to know that it's working. I ought to know that it's working for my good. This is what the word says, doesn't it? And it says to them he says who are called. So you've been called into this place, amen, that you are in. He says according to his purpose, so that whatever you're going through amen. It has a purpose in it. You love him. He's called you to it. He's going to bring you through it, come on.

Speaker 2:

And you know I like the eight, that Romans 8, 28, because if you go a little bit deeper, he said and he says well, we know that all things he's letting us know now only is the heart posture, it's a mind posture as well, because we got to know it's a process that got to happen, not saying that the pain won't hurt, but he says it's only going to last for a little while. That's why he said in the word that weeping may endure for a night, but joy come in the morning. He says it's a process that the pain might last for a minute, but the end of the day is going to stop.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Just like when you go into a wave room, the thing that the weight people say. They say that no pain, no gain. That means you have to go through some pain to get the reap, the benefit of that workout. You have to reap. You had to reap some pain in your situation to reap the benefits for the process that you went through. Y'all excuse me, I just had a moment just now.

Speaker 1:

That's deep, but yeah, it is.

Speaker 2:

If you look at everything in life, everything that you go through and you endured, the process that makes you enjoy or endure the things that you already went through. Let's like an alcoholic you stop drinking, you go through the withdrawals or the process, but at the end of the day you'll feel a whole lot better.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely Mm-hmm. Yeah, when we look at the dictionary and look at this word impact as a noun, it says the action of one object coming forcibly into contact with another. Okay, when we look at it as a noun and we're thinking about spiritual things and spiritual matters, key word to this definition says forcibly means that you are. Another word for forcibly in this context would be intentionally. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 1:

So if you're going to make an impact, you got to be intentional about it. You don't have step, you do it. You heard me Come on, just do it. Hallelujah, amen. When God does something in your life, he don't just, he don't have step with it. You hear me, hallelujah. He said I will prepare a table. He said I will prepare a table before thine enemies, hallelujah. Most of the time when we are making an impact for the good, we got haters. Come on somebody. We got people that are watching us and they're hating the fact that you're making the impact. Come on somebody. This is why so much controversy, so much back and forth, so much comparison on social media because one is trying to outdo another. Come on somebody, hallelujah. But if you're doing what God tell you to do, it really don't matter what they are doing. Hallelujah, because you've been called into this place.

Speaker 2:

And you know, when you look at that word and I got to put it out there because somebody might look at that word forcibly and say, well, God's demanding me or making me do this you got to realize that this God gives us free choice Either we're going to do it or we're not going to do it. So you get what I'm saying. When he people look at that word forcibly saying that God made me do it. No, it's not. He's not making you do it, he's giving you the opportunity to do it. That's why it speaks about your intentions of doing it. You have you have to have your motives and your intentions to line up.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely so. Another thing that I thought in regard to definition, here's another definition that's similar, but it says to have a strong effect or influence on a situation or person. This is perfect for the context that we're talking about. This is to have a strong effect. Hey man, come on somebody. Hallelujah, your story matters. Mm-hmm, it might not matter to everybody, but to God your story matters. And if you're looking, if you are looking for God in the midst of the mess, you'll find the message Jesus. Did you catch that? Did y'all catch that? If you're looking for Jesus in the midst of the mess, he will give you a message out of it Mm-hmm, hallelujah, even though you might be a victim in that moment, if you're looking for Jesus, you'll find the victory. Come on somebody. If you're in the midst of the test and you're looking, you're focusing on Jesus, he's gonna give you a testimony. Mm-hmm, hallelujah. Hey man, those are just not cliche words, this is a real thing.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

And in this season we're gonna show you that Hallelujah and you know even something you said that you know when.

Speaker 2:

We got to realize this too, and I don't know who I'm saying this to. I know I'm speaking to myself, but we got to realize that, look, every situation, every trial, every test, everything that we go through in life, it might not matter to you, mm-hmm, to your mama, to your daddy, to your brother, your uncle, your aunt, your niece, your nephew, mm-hmm, but at the end of the day, it matters to God himself. That's right. That's why he tells us that the world might persecute you, but he's already persecuted him first, mm-hmm. That's why he tells in his word I no longer call you servant, but I call you friend, absolutely, because at the end of the day, your friend might stab you in your back.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

Your friend might tell lies on you, your friend might try to persecute you and say that you can't measure up to who you are, mm-hmm. But God says I made you, I formed you out of the womb before you even thought of Come on. We got to realize that, look, everything that we go through in life matters to God, hallelujah. Whether it's bad or good, everything matters to God. That's right.

Speaker 1:

Right, he, I love the movie. You know, the movie Shaft, no, not Shaft Shaq.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Shaq Mm-hmm. And as he was walking through the garden and the garden, the garden that the Holy Spirit though the young lady who represented the Holy Spirit. He was walking through the garden, right there in the thicket of the movie he was coming through. You remember that movie. His daughter had been kidnapped and murdered and he was trying to move past it and it's like he just got into a place where he was pretty much so broken and so heartbroken that he kind of neglected the rest of his family.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

He went on this door, his fat. He went on a trip and he was on the no, the Lord took him on the trip, his family had went on the trip and he and basically get falling in snow, slipped on ice or whatever have you, and then mentally took him into this place and really it was it was having, but it was in a way he couldn't recognize that it was, but by the time got to that, about a quarter of the way in the movie, he figured out where he was.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

And he thought it was real. And the Holy Spirit took him into the garden and the garden was dead, had no life whatsoever, and and and, in the midst of the healing process, they took this little little thing that had, was filled with water, and I Believe that the Holy Spirit told him that God never was the tear that you shared, mm-hmm. And then this capsule was all of his tears that he had shared, but once and then in the movie took the tears and poured it on the garden and the garden blossomed. Amen, and it just represented. It said to us that God does not waste what you've been through, amen, he doesn't waste a dime of it. And the reality is, is that in this movie, we, if we, if we really see it, the way that the Movie represented, and how we look at the word of God, how we look at our story, those tears that we shared, they, those, all of those tears, because they're weep and may endure for a night, but, george, comes in the morning, that weeping, those tears, cuz, are almost a setup for your next Season, the healing process. So you know, I believe that we don't, when we don't want to deal with our story and we don't want to deal with the hurt. We don't want to deal with the pain, we bind up the healing we can. You can heal properly. Until you shed those tears, until you deal with what, with what's wrong, the healing can't come forth. You understand what I'm saying and this is how Folks wind up bitter and angry and resentful, and all of those emotions, all of those things lead to death. Amen. And what God wants to do in your life leads to life and it requires some shedding. Amen. It requires us to forgive and love in spite of Amen. And so you know, at the end of the day, again, what you've been through has not been for nothing. Hallelujah, amen. The things that we've been through, they are going to impact the world if we allow it to Amen, if we allow it to. Michael, you have anything you want to add?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I do. And you know something, something I just thought about, to they got dropped in my spirit to is you know, that's why it says that when you, when you cry, when you say tears, it cleanses you on the inside out. That's why it's so, it's so vital that we don't Keep things bottled up inside. That's why we don't keep those things, those those negative feelings, that's that's deep down inside of us, bottled up, because it's like a cancer, it kills Absolutely inside out. Yeah and I say for the inside out, because it starts in you you holding them things in, but it ventures out because it affects the people around you. That's why it's so vital that we, that we have those moments that we break down and cry, because it cleanses us. It gets up the negative stuff which opens up for the positive stuff. That's why God telling his word that when he opened, when he closes the door, he opens a window. He closes that door to keep you from making further mistakes and he opens a window that opens new possibilities to come in. But we so here, strong, that the first thing we want to do is we want to open that door back up. Yeah but you don't allow the growth to come in and sometimes God would open that, close that door and if your blessing won't fit through the window Sometimes he got a tear that a whole damn wall- All right. Sometimes that your blessing is big enough that it would not fit through the window. I'm having a moment, y'all. I'm having a moment. That's all right. I love it because it's real. Sometimes God will have to Tie down a whole wall to give you your blessing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, change the word.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I did, I did, I did.

Speaker 1:

That is so funny. I love it, amen. I love it because you know this is a place where you can get your laugh on. You know you might hear a little little little flesh show up in there, and that's okay. Yeah, hallelujah, god knew who we were before we even started. You see that side out, y'all right, it's alright. Yeah, judge not and you be judge.

Speaker 2:

Yeah match 71.

Speaker 1:

It is. It is what it is. So we are getting ready to get off, amen. We got a few more minutes left in the show, but we wanted to share with you what exactly is coming down the pipe. We're gonna have 70 episodes in this Season. I said yep. I said 70 episodes in this season. Amen, we're going to be doing two, two shows per week. Yeah, two episodes per week for you. Amen. We got a whole lot of guests. It's gonna blow your mind. Y'all hear us here and there, but we really want you to From in all realms and in ways we want to make sure that you are able to Really glean from what God has given us this season. Amen. So again, if you haven't checked out the first three seasons, check it out. I mean, hallelujah, it's a whole lot there, a whole lot of help and information and Encouragement and inspiration that will continue to inspire you to go forth for another day. Amen. Um, I Don't know. That's a share. You got anything else to share any? I?

Speaker 2:

Would definitely say, like you just said, you know, if you haven't heard us Into just now, go back. Yeah, because it's it's a lot of it's a lot of things that will make you laugh, a Lot of things that make you cry. And I say that, and I say cry in a good way because, like I said a few minutes ago, we all need that crying to to cleanse us. If we don't have that, that cleansing, we walk around all serious, and Walking around all serious is good for certain things, but at the end of the day, you need a little bit of laughter, a little bit of Flaster. Eyes up, like I did just now. You know, it gives us a Reminder that we're human, we're not robots.

Speaker 1:

That's right. Oh, yeah, yeah and so, also, I just felt the prompting in the spirit and say, if there's anybody out there who is listening and you feel like you have something that can change this world, can make an impact, and so reach out to us and we will do what we can. We'll have a conversation and get get your interviews so you can be on here. Whether you just have a story, your writer, a Blogger, maybe you are an influencer, creator on YouTube, whatever have you, god is giving you something that makes you shine in this world, and what you have, somebody else might need. I'm a firm believer that Our stories and things we've been through ain't necessarily for us, but for somebody else. So if you have something and you want to share it with us, you want to be on the show, you just let us know. You can go to our email address. I am a diamond 2021. I am a diamond 2021 at Outlook calm. We I mean we're we just down home preachers, asters that just love the Lord and is willing to be what he has called us to be making an impact in this world. Specifically for this season. We want to make an impact, amen. We want to shine. I'm also say this that you know, when we come together as the body, we shine brighter together. Amen. Whether we are light or diamond, we gonna. If we are diamond, we're gonna sparkle more and more as we cluster together. Amen. We can't do this thing alone. God has made us to be relational and we ought to live that way. So, without further ado, as we've come down to the last few moments when it's got mess mixed up, we're gonna go ahead and pray and let you be on your way. So, father, we thank you so much for your grace, your mercy, your love. We thank you so much for just allowing us this time, in this opportunity, before your people, god, we just pray that we can be all that you desire us to be and we pray for each and everyone that is here Seeking you. I pray in the name of Jesus. The blessings of the Lord be upon your people. Father, we love you so much, so very grateful, so thankful. But how you're using us in this season and in this world, I pray, god, that we can continue to make an impact that will cause your people to come running to you. Father, we love you so much. We so very grateful. Once again, we pray this prayer and we do it all in Jesus Christ's name. We do pray, amen, amen, amen. So y'all, make sure y'all tune in. Every Wednesday, every Friday, it comes out on 9 at 9 pm, but it's audio. We're gonna have it by YouTube. You'll be able to watch it, listen to it anytime that you like. Amen, so y'all know what time it is.

Speaker 2:

Hey, hey, come a little closer, come a little closer. Remember, and to next time. You are a diamond in the rock.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen, we'll see y'all next week. Hallelujah.
